Isso est une artiste contemporaine résidant en Provence, France.
 

Dès l'enfance, elle commence à étudier et à peindre à l'aquarelle. Plus tard, sous l’égide d'un peintre calligraphe Chinois, elle étudia durant quatre années les bases de l'art pictural traditionnel en Asie (la peinture sur soie, sur papier de riz et la calligraphie).

Elle poursuivra son parcours artistique auprès de peintres Japonais.
 

Dès l'origine, son style reflète le minimalisme, tant dans la représentation picturale que dans le choix de la monochromie et de la polychromie.

L'influence de l'art japonais se révèle dans les thèmes de peinture, la calligraphie, les supports et le style.

L'encre, noire ou de couleur, l'aquarelle, les feuilles d'or, d'argent et de cuivre sont les vecteurs de son tracé, à la fois figuratif et abstrait.
 

L'encre et la couleur s'expriment sur des papiers , précieux et fait main (de riz, de mûrier, avec incrustations ou imprimé de motifs japonais, d'aquarelle), sur du tissus (soie, lin, brut ou raffiné) et sur certains supports végétaux ou minéraux.

Chaque œuvre peut être encadrée, montée en kakemono (rouleau vertical), transférée ou gravée. 

L'expression picturale, en référence au symbolisme japonais, d'une part, figure les thèmes traditionnels, en peinture et en calligraphie. C'est aussi, d'autre part, un écho de ses études en Histoire de l'Art, ses voyages, ses recherches et sa créativité.

La destinée d'une œuvre d'Isso, au choix de son acquéreur, sera de devenir un présent, de concrétiser un souhait de commande pour enrichir ou être le point de départ d'une collection, de célébrer un événement, de matérialiser un symbole, de contribuer à la décoration d'un intérieur (espace professionnel ou habitat).

Isso is a contemporary French artist, living in Provence, France.

Since her childhood, she had studied and painted watercolours.

Later on,  under the aegis of a Chinese Painter and Calligrapher, for four years, she studied the Asian fundamentals of the pictural art (silk and paper painting, calligraphy).

She carried on her art course with Japanese painters.

From the outset,  minimalism reflects her style, both in the representation and in the choice of monochromy and polychromy.

The painting themes, the calligraphy, the  supports and the style, reveal themselves the japanese influence.

Ink, black or coloured,  watercolours, gold, silver and copper leaves are the carriers of her line, both figurative and abstract.

Ink and colour express themselves on precious and handemade papers (rice, mulberry, with inlays   or printed with japanese patterns, watercolour), on fabrics (silk, linen, raw or precious) and on some vegetal or mineral carriers.

Each work can be framed, made as a kakemono (japanese vertical scroll), transferred or engraved.

In reference to the japanese symbolism, on the one hand, the pictural expression shows the traditional themes, in painting and calligraphy. On the other hand, it's also an account to her studies in History of Art, her journeys, her researches and her creativity.

As the wish of the purchaser, Isso's work destiny will be to become a gift, to give concrete expression to a wish of enhancing or being the starting point of a collection, to celebrate an event, to make materialize a symbol, to enhance an indoor decoration (a business or a home area).
